Physician,
Heal Thyself.
After Hurricane Katrina, Karama Sadaka was alone with his pictures, his poems, and the need to heal. While searching for new ways to express himself through art while still healing, he created a portrait of his own face from the words I’M OK, repeated over and over, and placed it where he would see it every day.
Slowly, the message became true. Then came I’M BETTER, I’M FOCUSED, I’M HEALING—until a wall of images became a record of his return to himself.
